You Make Me Angry!

It’s so easy to feel that you are a victim of your emotions, emotions that you can blame on others, after all that’s what you’ve been taught all your life.

As long as you believe that other people are responsible for your emotional state, other people can control you utterly.

It’s entirely possible for you, for any human being, to learn, from teachings by wise teachers like Thich Nhat Hahn on YouTube, and many others, to separate yourself from your emotions and look at them, your thinking, your "logic", that leads to the emotional state of your mind/body.

You can learn to track down where your habits of thought, feeling, "unthinking" reaction, originate, and love and nurture the inner child who was put apon that particular path for survival.

An analogy of that particular survival strategy that I sometimes use is of an animal who is very hungry and begins to eat parts of her own body. That’s only natural when you are prevented from escaping to find food elsewhere.

The problem comes when the animal gains her freedom and, although she has many ways to gain nutritious food, she continues to live in the same state of fear from when she was trapped as a child.

A human being can be stuck in the same sort of pattern after leaving a traumatic childhood environment. The fear of others, the inability to…
