Witless Conservatives help Trans-People!

“I don’t care what the newspapers say about me as long as they spell my name right.”

Countless people have spoken those words. P.T. Barnum seems to be the first. At least the best detective efforts indicate that this is so. It’s still debated among certain historians.

Many of us, at least in the LGBTQ community, are aware of the ongoing efforts to get trans-people into the public eye. The reasoning is that, with increased visibility, the public at large will see that we’re just people.(nothing to see here folks, now move along, just move along, nothing to see. That’s right, move along).

I even outed myself, just to add to the effort in my own little way.

With the tens of state bills being put forward we can see that the strategy is working.

That’s right, I said that it’s working!

Think about it. Coming out, en masse, has forced the closet-case conservatives to wage all-out war. They are making their move. This is their last, desperate, effort.

They are doing all that they feasibly can to patch up the “dam" that is breaking, threatening to wash away the scales of fear that they’ve created over the public eye.

The secret dreams and fantasies within themselves, the ones they deny with all their might, the ones that cause them…
