I’ve not been seriously harrassed, but I’ve easily “passed”, always been attractive,(just a fact that has sometimes been a curse, albeit a “high-end” “problem”), and, most significantly, I’m white.

From the relatively small amount of mild harrassment that I have, occasionally, received, I can easily extrapolate what it may be like to be a constant target, though I can never really know what it’s like.

With everything that I’ve read, and what I learned, from childhood on,(b.1958),about what people think about “creatures” such as ourselves, I have experienced debilitating fear, to the point of being “totally and permanently disabled, unemployable”, according to the determination of a social security panel of disability judges.(major depressive disorder and major anxiety disorder).

To have to continue living with that fear and hyper-vigilence is unimaginable to me.
