This sounds like a very interesting idea Sarah.
I’m a 62 year old trans-woman who transitioned in 1993 San Diego.
I’ve had all of the usual #metoo experiences, including both violent rape and the intimidation sort,(too frightened to fight).
For a few years now I’ve not been dealing with male rage online. My FB friends are all womxn and a very, very few men and transmen. I belong to, love participating in, several “Vagitarian" FB groups. We all have zero tolerance for hatefulness and argument. It’s all about love and compassion, supporting each other, and sharing jokes and a bit of innocent flirting.😉
I get the occasional catphisher and lurker leaving comments on my posts, but I just delete the comment, block the creep, and move on.
Last week I began an experiment (?), Instead of blocking all of the creeps who send friend requests, I just remove the notification. The requests are building up. I think there are over 200 at this point.🤣
I answer questions on Quora, perhaps one or two per day, though it’s often difficult to find a question that’s at least moderately literate, and detailed enough to make an informed response to.
When I came out as trans, in '93 San Diego, no one would hire me. In order to make enough money to live well I set myself up as an independent call-girl, with the guidance of a good friend who was a “madam”.
Since I’ve only ever been able to be in love with a woman, I suspect that you may understand why I just don’t “mingle” with men anymore, if I can at all help it.
I’m sure that I’ve had plenty to say about creepy men. No doubt I can find something to contribute.
