My lgbtqia friends, can you find it in your heart to pray for the intolerant?
Seriously, they are sick people, reacting to great fear. Understand that they are used to living in a very small bubble of understanding. They want to be able to look at a person and to immediately understand everything about their motivations and desires, to know that the person’s world view and bubble of reality is basically the same as theirs. They want to know what to expect from people, and have others know that they can expect the same from them. This gives them comfort, a feeling of safety. It’s a very narrow and constricted reality. It makes their mental and emotional life very simple, predictable, safe.
Anyone outside of this bubble of understanding is "other".

"Other" is an unknown. The unknown is dangerous by default. After all, they have everything they need included in the reality constructed for them and passed down through the centuries, why would anyone want to mess with a good thing?
Sure, there have always been a few weirdos that pop up here and there, but they are easily put in their place and forced to submit, to hide their true nature, so don’t worry about them, just bang their heads like a game of 'whack a mole’. In fact, just make some laws and let the thugs,(pardon me, I mean,’police officers’), handle the riff-raff…
