That was not only interesting, but courageous. Thank you.

I’m a no-op trans-woman who transitioned in 1993, in San Diego. I have been living in my native NC for years now.

There was a gcf who trolled me when I was new on Medium. The article she cited was in a magazine in Italy, her characterization of it was an enormous misrepresentation. I don’t think that she expected me to translate it and respond…I think that Medium blocked her, or perhaps we just blocked each other…I don’t remember at this point.

My friends,(all cis-women), don’t seem to mind that I’m trans. I did “come out”, publicly, a couple of years ago, after getting sober in a well known twelve step program.

Some of my friends and acquaintances were a bit taken aback, but just over two years later, we are all just fine. In fact, I’m regularly dating cis-women. I also belong to several Vagiterian groups on Facebook. I periodically put up a fully honest post that begins with, “Okay. Here we go again 😂. Just so no one can say that they didn’t know…” with five pictures documenting my life’s journey.

I even got a friend request from a fellow Lesbitarian who “warned” me that she was “GC”. I accepted the request. She hasn’t made a peep since. I don’t know what her motivation is, but I have nothing to hide, nothing to be ashamed of.

I try to stay away from the controversy. If other people need to live in perpetual fear and outrage, I’ll leave them to it. I’m too old, jaded, and protective of my peace of mind/sobriety…

Thanks again for a great essay 😊

❤️🙏🏼
