That was interesting. I haven’t been mis-gendered in over 25 years. I don’t say that to brag, or feel superior, it’s just a fact of my life.
I think that most in my position simply stay “stealth”, as I believe the current vernacular has it.
I announced my trans-ness a few years ago, thinking to be in solidarity with my trans sisters.
Even here, in eastern North Carolina, it didn’t really make much of a difference, except to increase the libidinous interest of more men, and my preference, women.
I often wonder if I really should have “outed” myself…but…well, I don’t know…I just live what life gives me.
