Thank you, young man.
I transitioned, MtoF, in 1993.
My BF, Darrell, and I had been together for about a year.
By the end of the next year he said, "Lou, I love you, but I'm a gay man and I can't live with a woman."(I've written that so many times that I now only have to touch the words on the suggestion bar on my phone), and I haven't written it for months.
I had known that he was afraid of women, for what reason I don't know. He wouldn't discuss it.
My wife had taken our daughter and divorced me about three years earlier.
In 2000, my daughter was 14y/o and chose to come live with me, where I had moved in 1998, North Carolina.... from San Diego.
She wanted, "my dad".
I didn't take testosterone, but I stopped estradiol, and managed to get my voice down to the upper baritone range. Having been a "B"cup, it wasn't difficult to pass fairly well.
For the next 17 years I nearly drank myself to death.
Julie moved back to San Diego because my ex and her Jehovah's Witless husband had a lot more money than I, and were willing to subsidize a more lavish lifestyle for her.
Back on estradiol since 2017, I'm a regular member of the local AA Hut and help others to get themselves on the right track.
Having tried, and completely abandoned, straight men, I realized that, in my life, I have only truly been 'in love' with women, as opposed to loving someone I'm with just by necessity, for peace.
I think that you are very courageous and a talented writer, as opposed to myself, the queen of interminable sentences 😉
Continued success to you.
Namaste

Bye y'all. it's been real. I have a new Chromebook, but I prefer to write these little "aside" pieces on my phone, curled up in my comfy chair. always love; w
