Thank you Sheri.
I find there are universal truths to be found in most philosophies.
I found the same truths in Tibetan Buddhism, wherein I learn from the wise who have traveled further on the path than I.
I learned that every living being is sacred and contains the seed of God, the Universe, whatever one is more comfortable seeing it as.
My purpose in life, as I have learned it, is through compassionate understanding to understand, deeply, others and the world around me.
By facing my fears and traumas with compassionate understanding, guided by a master such as Thich Nhat Hanh, I develope a calm, peaceful, gentleness, kindness and compassion for all, including myself.
Helping others to navigate their own fears and traumas, to hold the fear/anger close and love it, gaining the loving nurturing that was needed all along, fills me with such compassion that it naturally grows to encompass me, as well.
And yes, Buddhists say that the beautiful lotus only grows from a mucky, muddy foundation. They’ve taught that for millenia. 😉
Living with gentleness, kindness, and compassion for others, reducing suffering wherever and whenever I can, ultimately brings happiness. I only have to practice every day.
Life is unavoidably filled with suffering.
Reducing the suffering of others whenever I can is the key to “the good life" that I didn’t even know that I was searching for.
Thanks again Sheri!💖🙏🏼
Peace Love Kindness Respect the more you give the more you get 😍 start with yourself 😉 because you deserve it ❤️🙏🏼 (you really do. I promise.)
