In the 90s I would sometimes drive my husband to an estate sale and wait while he looked for rare books.
I had a bumper sticker on the back of my car. In candy-apple red, reflective letters it said, “SCREW GUILT!”.
I had some interesting conversations with old “antiquers”, always men…they would usually come over to me with a scowl on their face, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
It didn’t take long to turn the scowl into a nod of agreement, then a smile.
