I was born in 1958. When I left the Navy, in 1993 San Diego, I began my transition at the age of 34/35.

By 1995 this was me;

I’m very, very happy to see the acceptance of transgender people growing. I now live in Greenville NC, and find a great deal of acceptance, even here.

It helps, of course, that I’ve always “passed” as a cis-gender woman.

I didn’t have to “out” myself, but a couple of years ago I decided that it was simply the right thing to do. I felt that I should be “visible”, in support of my sisters…

I learned counter-tenor to change my voice, and never had any kind of surgery, only Hormone replacement therapy.

This is me last year;

I try to help, by occasionally writing about it. Here in Greenville NC, I don’t get a chance to meet other trans-people very often.

I do what I can, when the opportunity presents itself.
