Thank you Gillian. Well done, brave, and surely helpful to us.

I’ve been subjected to almost every kind of abuse in my life, from early childhood, on throughout my life. The most recent was a forced by intimidation rape two or three years ago.(of course he comes by and knocks on my door once every two or three months. My led porchlight stays on 24/7, and the deadbolt is always thrown)

Having recently gotten sober and clean, I felt all of the feelings for the first time since I was a child.

I didn’t report it for all of the reasons that we are all familiar with.

Then, at a women-only twelve step recovery meeting, I got victim-blaming, and even participated in it, against myself (!!!). I found myself nodding my head and feeling ashamed for what was revealed to me as obviously entirely my fault.

Then I read an essay or two from women like you, and took back my “power”(?).

Without turning a response into an essay, I’ll just say that practicing the Dharma of Tibetan Buddhism has helped me immeasurably.

Venerable Thubten Chodron and Pema Chodron, on YouTube, are two nuns that I follow who have helped me the most.

Be safe, be well my friend ❣️🙏🏼💜🙏🏼

--weezi--💖🙏🏼🥳

PS! Thich Nhat Hanh is a Zen Master, gentle, kind and infinitely Loving…also on youtube.
