A few years ago I was raped by a boyfriend I had broken up with in no uncertain terms, telling him, “If you ever darken my door again I’ll call the police!”

I got some sympathy and a shoulder to cry on from exactly one other woman. From the rest I got victim-blaming.

Wanting to at least warn everyone about him, I posted it on Facebook.

A friend’s boyfriend castigated me, on FB, for not reporting it.

I simply replied, “Tim, when you are a woman and get raped, we can talk about it. Until then tend to your own business.” He said, “My sister was raped once, so I know all about it!” Me, “You know nothing”.

Then I blocked him.

So, yeah, #metoo.
