Thank you Elle.

My only experience with an old style egalitarian people was when I was a child, living in Panama.

My father hired an African Panamanian woman as a maid/cook/housekeeper, and a San Blas tribesman as a 'gardener’, though I think he was mainly there for protection, and his knowledge of the jungle animals and plants.

His name was a series of clicks, grunts and whistles, but he liked daddy’s car, and consented to be called “Ford" by us.

He, and his people, were what is commonly referred to as “Pygmies”.

He seemed to have no concept of serious competition, and very little,(I think recently learned), concept of personal property.

Often Dad would find one of his tools missing. The next day he asked Ford about it and Ford smiled and nodded a “yes", with no shame or fear or any indication that he had done anything wrong.

Daddy would simply, calmly, with his own congenial smile, ask Ford to bring it back…which he always did the next day.

A week later, or even the same day, he would go home with another one, no guile in him, whatsoever. The same process repeated itself.

He was very kind and always eager to help, with a smile. I trusted him above anyone else in the world.

Thanks again 'Elbow’. 😉💖🙏🦄🤠

Always love,--weezi--💜🙏🏼
