Thank you Antoinette!

I came out and began my transition in 1993, when I left the Navy.

My wife, a woman who had grown up poor and uneducated in the Philippines, in addition, had been sucked into the Jehovah’s Witless cult.

She went ballistic. Screaming at me every day until she forced me out, then told everyone that I abandoned her and our daughter,(8).

I still loved her, and especially our daughter, but she was not willing to even talk about it.

I decided that our daughter would be better off with an absent father, rather than a drunken, suicidal father…

My daughter and I reconnected when she was 14, and came to NC to live with me. She went back to California to live with her mom and step dad when she was 26.

There was never any reconciliation with my ex. She refuses any contact.

The thing is, that I still loved her as much as I ever did. I didn’t want to leave…

I fully believe that love has no gender.

Thank you for writing this essay.

I’ve forwarded it to a friend,(cis-woman), going through the process with her spouse…

😍😘😇🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

PS: You may wish to read my essay, “Male to Female Voice Change”, and share it with your spouse…
