Sounds good to me. The odd child out of the norm is the gay/trans child. This is consistent with the Kinseys' and other’s studies indicating that approximately ten percent of the population is homosexual and/or gender atypical.
The social construct theory is loosely applicable to the odd child out being coerced to display the "appropriate" behaviour.
In my considerable experience the gradations of "feminine" to "masculine" behaviour are nearly infinite, as each individual, due to genetics and nurture, is unique.
When the discussion is centered on the validity of transgender people, I think that the "catagory" a person feels most comfortable with is the one they should be given the opportunity to live, regardless.

Torturing them to force them into compliance to “gender norms" is cruel and unnecessary.
