Sad that some people must turn their own past trauma, and the resulting fear/anger/hatred, toward others. It’s so ugly and painful, for all involved. As usual, the original trauma perpetuates itself in a seemingly endless cycle, with the next recipient no more deserving of the attack than the first, or any of those between.

Even the concept of “original sin” perpetuates this cycle.

Personally, I don’t require those people’s approval to love myself.
