If you want a lot of reads and claps, I suggest you simplify. Write with the lay-person in mind.

The writers that I enjoy the most are those who have studied the subject matter intensely, then, when writing an essay on the subject, explain it in terms that I, a person who has not made a detailed study of it, can easily understand.

Reads, to the average person, like a highly specialized text book. Very rare will be the soul who plows, trudges through it. Sorry, thought you’d prefer an honest opinion.

PS; when the average person starts reading something and it quickly becomes detailed and complex, rather than easy to digest, they bail out…they may, or may not, be impressed with the author’s intelligence, but they bail, regardless…
