I didn’t quit until one month and two days before my sixtieth birthday. I’ve been sober for,(let me check), 506.35 days.

I’m told that I still look pretty good on the outside, but brother, my insides are an unmitigated disaster!

It’s still a miracle that either one of us is still alive, though. “Just okay”, is pretty darned good, if you ask me…when compared to the alternative …
