I understand. I was an escort for five years, in the 90s. I was “Honey”, in the San Diego area, the most popular “ts” call-girl in SD. I heard a rumour that the 2nd most popular was jealous/angry with me…. (the competition you mentioned). I, on my high-horse, ignored it.

I lived with an artist, who’s parents were the leaders of a cult when he was a child. He had AIDS. No…we didn’t, and I don’t. His friend, an older man, an artist of some renown, (and crazy as a bed-bug), breezed in and out, chaos in his wake.

At his request, I drove him up the coast to a Catholic facility of some sort, to “visit” a large carving he had done, a life sized rendering of a man, a saint, I presume…(this was over twenty years ago).

The “brother”, or “father”, or whatever he was, approached me as we were leaving and told me that I was “doing a wonderful service for the Lord.” It didn’t need to be spelled out, what he meant… “riding herd” on that man was exasperating!

Example- he needed a container for some sort of art supplies…he searched in my kitchen, found a Tupperware container that I had put Oreo cookies in. “Ah! Just the right size!” He dumped the cookies in the sink, and walked off with his prize!

Sorry, I’ve gotten way off track here…

The only female friends I had were a lesbian couple who were our neighbors…

Twenty five or so years later, I’m in small-town NC, in AA, have lots of good, women-friends, went to a “Bad Santa” party last night, and had a very good time, in a crowd of thirty insanely wonderful women.

It takes a while. It takes time to “aclimatize” yourself to the company of other women. I never trusted other women, because my older sisters were/are duplicitous, conniving, evil “witches”…

Hang in there, it takes time…

😍😘😇🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

PS: my AA sponsor is like us, never trusted other women…we’re working on it together…😳

PPS: sorry, forgot, a few of the women in the group have hinted that it would be better if I didn’t share about my “past”.🙄
