I signed up for it last year (?), the year before (?).
It was way too much work for the small reward, for me.
I find more free books than I have time to read in the other free book clubs.
New authors, I find, are often good story-tellers, but their punctuation, spelling/understanding of some of the words they choose, leaves a lot to be desired.
Many of them have good potential, as story-tellers, but could use a remedial composition course, or two, in addition to an unabridged dictionary and a Roget’s.
It’s rare that a new writer is enough of a compelling story-teller, that I continue to read them, despite their rudimentary English language skills. It does happen though.
I generally just wait until a writer reaches the level of expertise that allows them to make money…. and get an editor and proofreader.
Thank you, Serenity.
