I see a lot of my own experience in your essay.

I smoked pot for the first time in 1968, at ten years old. By the time I was 15 I was drinking and drugging nearly every day, definitely every weekend…

Starting my “counter” at the age of 15, I drank for 45 years.

I have two years of continuous sobriety coming up on 21sep.

My mind is clearing up in ways that I’ve literally never experienced in my entire adult life.

It’s quite an adventure, to say the least.

Congratulations to you ❤️🙏🏼

I’ve found that connection with other people has been the most important part of getting and staying sober.

Bye y'all. it's been real. I have a new Chromebook, but I prefer to write these little "aside" pieces on my phone, curled up in my comfy chair. always love; w
