I get it. I can’t feel it like a black person, but I’ve had a close up view all of my life.

I was raised in Panama, cared for, every day by an African-Panamanian woman and a San Blas “indian”,(“pygmy”).

We moved back to my parents home in NC when I was still a child. I saw, and was shocked to see the way that black people, and other POC, were treated, were not just disrespected, but actively oppressed. Although it was never out in the open, on TV like it is now, I never doubted any story of murder committed on black people by whites, people that were, apparently, “the same” as me.

Eventually I fell in love with, and married a POC. We had a beautiful daughter, who is my ❤️.

I, obviously, can’t know what it feels like, because I’m white, but I have never been able to make excuses for the endemic racism, baked into our culture, and I can’t possibly put my head in the sand.

It enrages me to think of my daughter being treated that way, and I have to cry domrmoyr sorry about that, I couldn’t see the thing..

Peace Love Kindness Respect the more you give the more you get 😍 start with yourself 😉 because you deserve it 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
