I don’t really know. When I lived in San Diego, in the late 80s thru 1998, a lot of my friends, and I, called ourselves “queer”. It was, at that time, among the people that I knew, a “taking back” of a previously derogatory term. We joyously, gayly called ourselves and our friends, “big ole queers”!(I’m a queer, you’re a queer, everyone’s a queer-queer! 😉🤣 I might say to my roommate, in the grocery store, “Com’ere, you big ole queen!”, or “queer’, or “fag”, even…just to freak out the “breeders” in close proximity…We kissed each other on the lips, especially when in public, and more especially when a person we were just meeting had visible Caposi’s Sarcoma, or was skeleton-skinny. F**k all the nervous nellies! “Gay” means “happy”, right?

I’m actually a trans woman, and bi, maybe pan, (haven’t had the right opportunity to find out about pan). Definitely demi…now that I’m much older, though my 30s were quite, um, “busy”.

Personally, I feel like “queer” is an “all-purpose” term. In the end, it doesn’t matter…

Peace Love Kindness Respect the more you give the more you get 😍 (start with yourself 😉)(you beautiful queer you 😁)

😍😘😇🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

PS: Don’t twist yourself into knots over nothing more than one simple word. Life is much too short, kids! 😘😇🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😉
