I believe in God, not religion.

I believe in God. She loves me, no matter what.

It would be incredibly arrogant to think that I know what He wants, how She thinks or feels.

It became obvious to me, in my childhood, that religion is a “long con”.

While I’m sure that many religious leaders are altruistic in the guidance of their flock, many more are not.

It would be a very unusual person who, after using truisms to gather others into “the fold”, who would not be tempted to use the trust of their “sheep”,(they actually call them *Sheep*!), to further their own, selfish, agenda.

Nothing prevents me from having my, personal, *belief* give me the security of knowing that I am loved, and that She wants me to be kind and honest, with others, but most importantly, with myself.

People that I call “brain-lazy”, or simply lacking the intellectual capacity to understand, are taken in by the long-standing beliefs of the people around them, family in particular.

We all manipulate each other, throughout every day of our lives. When we see that we can control what another thinks, “understands”, to be true, the temptation to insert “knowledge” that is beneficial to us, can be quite strong.

The point of human life, our reason for existing, I believe, is to help each other. Selfishness is the “Devil”, however we must care for ourselves first. You can’t pour from an empty cup. Pour I must, though, to have Peace of mind, serenity.

Human beings, in general, like for their understanding of the world and life to be *black and white*. Had we not had this predilection, we would never have survived the savanas of Africa. When a tiger is stalking you, you don’t want to be trying to think of what to do. You must know, immediately, in no uncertain terms, what to do, or you will die and not reproduce. The people who had an immediate, black and white, knowledge of what to do, survived, and reproduced. We are their descendants. Is it any wonder that people cling to, (even erroneous), beliefs, and refuse, some to the point of death, to change, or even reconsider those beliefs? It is an instinctive survival tactic that no one survived without. It is currently, not only unnecessary, but the cause of all conflict in today’s world.

The need for certain, absolute, black and white understanding, drawing lines in the sand, will bring our doom, if we don’t learn to be comfortable in the grey-areas of life.

Peace Love Kindness Respect the more you give the more you get 😍
