I adore your sentiment, Jessica.

The plain truth, however, is that as long as treating workers that way is legal, someone is going to do it.

The places, people, institutions, that can stop it are government and unions supported by government.

Meanwhile, I order “stuff" from Amazon and groceries from Walmart…

Sorry babe…😁

PS; if minimum wage, since the 1960s, had kept up with the economy, it would be $18 an hour now….. you can lay the blame for that at the feet of elected officials. It’s foolish to expect billionaires to treat their employees any better than the law forces them to. 99% of billionaires/multi millionaires are sociopathic, psychopathic, or, at least, narcissistic… they are good at hiring public relations people to fool the “unwashed” into thinking that they are “normal”, occasionally “kind” and empathetic, but are restrained in some strange way from treating their employees better. It’s all gaslighting. The only thing restraining them is their own lack of caring for anyone but themselves and their fellow robber-barons, and their fellows only because of the expectation of quid pro quo.

Expecting them to actually care is like expecting gravity to suddenly reverse. It is simply not within the realm of possibility.

Sorry, but them’s the facts…😪
