Beautiful, and well put. Thank you “Elbow”!

You know that what you said is true, but I must add that I agree.

I’m finding that Tibetan Buddhism, it’s teaching and meditation techniques, are my prescription for changing my conscious and unconscious thought, which, of course, changes how I feel.

Always striving to base all of my heart on gentleness, kindness, compassion, has been a profound and ongoing change.

Intentions, as practiced in Tibetan Buddhist mindfulness meditation, such as Tonglen meditation, are very important to my spiritual growth and maintenance. Suffusing myself with those intentions on a daily basis tends to show up in my actions, but it takes much more than a cursory attempt. It must be a deeply held conviction.

It’s an ongoing, daily project, but the rewards are…well, rewarding. The longest journey begins with the first step, then you keep trudging on, and on.

After a lifetime of the all-pervasive influence of our patriarchal society, the “cure" won’t, can’t, happen overnight. It’s a way of life.

Complete and total self-honesty, on the deepest levels, is not, sadly, something that most people are prepared to do.

I particularly like the teachings of Ani Pema Chodron and the Venerable Thubten Chodron, on YouTube.(both women, I might add😉).

Gelong Thubten is excellent aa well;
