"What was it like living with undiagnosed gender dysphoria?"

In a metaphorical way, it was like having my shoes on the wrong feet. Everyone else said that it was the right way and, if I put them on the right feet,(so it didn’t hurt), I was “wrong", “weird”, even “crazy” or “perverted”(?)…. Eventually I had to make the decision to wear them in the way that didn’t cause myself pain, though many other people didn’t like it, because it brought to the forefront of their minds issues within themselves that they had never properly dealt with.

With only 0.6% of the population identifying as transgender, there’s no other possible answer.
