Asked of me on Quora, 23mar,2022 “What is involved in transgender medical healthcare and can it be life saving?” It may only involve the long term help of a liscensed, board certified, clinical psychologist who has experience with the issue at hand. If the psychologist agrees, it may move on to hormone therapy. At a later time, it may involve top surgery, possibly moving on to bottom surgery. There are, in my opinion, a set of standards that should always be followed. Those are the WPATH standards. They've been around for many years, but more and more often these days, they are not being used.
